Refitting

Fitting the replacement top suspension arm.

Refitting the arms is more or less the same as removal.

First of all we need to remove the split pin and protective boot cover from the new arm. Un bolt the mounting bush assembly from the rear of the arm also.

Slide the new bush assembly round the back of the damper assembly and set it at more or less the correct angle it will sit at when on the road. Using a spanner and torque wrench tighten up the bolt.

Offer the new arm up to the body, fit the bolts then raise up the hub assembly and fit the castellated nut to the specified torque and don't forget the split pin. Remember when tightening a castellated nut on a joint like this never back it off top line up the groove for the split pin, always tighten it (being careful not to over tighten of course).

Pack some grease round the nut and refit the protective cover. Give this a clean up while it is off also, and grease the threads of the two small retaining bolts.
